On May 23th, MCC Overseas successfully signed a contract for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Water Supplies Department Chaiwan and Siu Sai Wan Salt Water Pipeline Project. It will be jointly undertaken by MCC Overseas and Chun Wo Constructional Engineering Co., Ltd. MCC Overseas Chairman Zou Weimin and Chun Wo Engineering President Rao Zhisheng signed the contract with Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Water Supplies Department Assistant Director General Lu Weixiong on behalf of their respective parties.
The Chaiwan and Siu Sai Wan Salt Water Pipeline Project is an engineering measure of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Water Supplies Department assumed by MCC in Hong Kong once again following the completion of the Tsuen Wan Yau Kom Tau Water Treatment Plant Project over 20 years ago in 1995. Its contents include upgrading the current Siu Sai Wan Pump Station located in the region of Chaiwan, Hong Kong Island, and laying a sea water pipe with a length of 3.8 km in Siu Sai Wan District. The project's implementation will be conducted by a joint venture combo. Chun Wo Engineering is a local listed enterprise in Hong Kong that enjoys public praise and fame in Hong Kong's construction engineering domain, the recipient of government awards for construction, security and environmental protection, and a front line local engineering enterprise. MCC Hong Kong and Chun Wo Engineering will adhere to their separate enterprise spirits, give full play to each other's advantages in engineering management and jointly drive the project's smooth implementation.
