On May 22nd, CFMCC’s Shanghai Branch Company signed a steel structure procurement contract for the Bangladesh Payra Phase I 2×660 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Power Plant Engineering Project.
The largest Chinese investment project in Bangladesh at present, this project is located in Dhankhali Village of Patuakhali County, Barisal City, in the south of Bangladesh. China and Bangladesh account for 50% of its shares respectively. Upon completion, it will be the largest coal-fired power plant in Bangladesh. CFMCC's contracted contents include the secondary design, processing and manufacturing, packaging, transport and technical services of the main plants and auxiliary structures of all three sections. Both sides have agreed on sweep template delivery at FOB Shanghai Port. The required steel structure amount is around 27,000 tons.
