From November 6 to 7, 2009, the Calibration Laboratory of Shanghai Baoye Construction Corp., Ltd. (SBC-MCC) passed through the supervision and assessment undertaken by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
The Calibration Laboratory of SBC-MCC consists of four labs, of which the calibration and testing scope covers a wide technical fields such as electromagnetism, radiotechnics, mechanics, heat engineering, chemistry, length and mapping works.
The Calibration Laboratory was firstly licensed as one of the National Laboratory in November 2008. For this time, CNAS fielded a three-expert team to carry out strict on-site assessment work on the basis of CNAS-CL01:2006 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories (equivalent to ISO/IEC17025) and CNAS-CL01:2006 Guidance on the Application of Laboratory Accreditation Criteria in the Field of Calibration. The assessment process covers 23 key elements, for instance, organization and client service. On the site, calibration tests were arranged for seven items, 20 experimental parameters and 3 verification results for utilization capacity were obtained.
On this ground, the Calibration Laboratory of SBC-MCC smoothly passed through the supervision and appraisal of CNAS. The qualification preservation and enhancement will enable the lab to offer international recognized standards and testing data to clients from various circles of society, and thus will provide firm support for SBC-MCC in exploration of domestic and international engineering construction market.
