Ground-breaking Ceremony for the BT projet
The 2nd Prairie Welding Festival was held in Huolin Gol City of Inner Mongolia on July 18, 2009. During the event, a BT contract was inked between MCC Communication Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (MCET) and Huolin Gol Municipal Government for the construction works of Zhusihua Avenue Gongtie Overpass and the Cable Stayed Bridge Over Huolin River. The project is jointly invested by MCET and China 20MCC Construction Co., Ltd. (20MCC).
Vice General Manager Zhang Xiaoping of MCET was present at the ceremony and signed the contract on behalf of MCET with Xu Hui, Vice Secretary of CPC Huolin Gol Municipal Committee and Mayor of Huolin Gol Municipal Government.
On July 20, 2009, a Commencement Ceremony for Construction of Zhusihua Avenue Gongtie Overpass and the Cable Stayed Bridge Over Huolin River was held and presided over by Vice Mayor Shi Houchun of Huolin Gol Municipal Government. Vice General Manager Zhang Xiaoping of MCET and Mayor Xu Hui respectively addressed at the event. Zhang and five officials of the local government cut the ribbon for ceremony, and Secretary Gong Bingxiang of CPC Huolin Gol Municipal Committee announced the formal commencement of the project.
This project has started the BT contracting mode in financing for large-sized infrastructure construction works in Huolin Gol City. The project consists of two parts, i.e. Zhusihua Avenue Gongtie Overpass and the Cable Stayed Bridge Over Huolin River. For the overpass works, the main bridge is 446m in length and 30.5m in width, with box girder on the upside. In addition, there are two ring-road bridges with structure of box section, each of which is 170m in length and 11.6m in width. The bridge over the Huolin River is designed with one pylon and two cable-planes, with a length of 200m and a span of 100m+100m. The box section is designed for the main beam and the main pylon is 59.45m in height. The speed limit for the main highway is set at 50km/h and 60 km/h respectively. And the design safety degree is rated as 1st Grade.
