On April 28th, the China Jingye Engineering Corporation's Singapore Branch Company made use of its advantages and technical strength as a pioneering scientific and technological enterprise to successfully win the bidding to construct the Bedok South MRT Station on the Mass Rapid Transport Thomson-East Coast Line, marking that China Jingye has opened a new chapter in the public infrastructure field.
With a total length of 43 km and 31 stations, the Thomson-East Coast Line is the sixth line of Mass Rapid Transport, and will open to traffic in five stages from 2019 to 2024. This project covers 24,274.0m2 and an overall construction area of 19,907.84m2. The construction period will run from April 28th, 2016 to February 28th, 2024.
Connecting south and north Singapore, the north end of the Thomson-East Coast Line is situated at the Woodlands North Station near Republic Polytechnic. It passes by the industrial zone near Xinmin and the residential area of Thomson before entering Orchard Road and Marina Bay, running through Marine Parade, Siglap and South Bedok and finally ending at Sungei Buloh. The metro station will set up 7 interchange stations for passenger interchange on the other 5 lines in the upper interchange stations in the future, which will greatly enhance transportation convenience for residents.
This successful bidding for Singapore’s Metro Project indicates that the business production chain of China Jingye has reached a new milestone, which not only strengthens the Company's market influence in the local construction engineering field, but also provides new support for the MCC Group’s new strategic positioning of being the 'National Team of metallurgical construction, the main force of infrastructure construction and the pacemaker of emerging industry', and greatly promotes the influence of the MCC brand.
